Signs You Had A Mystical Experience

Ren March 29, 2022

Background

Mysticism is the belief that union with the Divine, or the spiritual apprehension of knowledge inaccessible to the intellect, may be attained through contemplation and self-surrender. It is one of the ways of understanding the processes of our unseen environment. The desire to connect directly with the supernatural is, in fact, the basis of mysticism. In this sense, mysticism is older than religion.

Let’s talk about mystic people and what mystical psychology is. If you are engaged in mysticism, Let’s Get Metaphysical podcast may interest you and satisfy your curiosity.

What Is A Mystic Person?

Who is a mystic person

A mystic is a person who has a direct experience of the sacred, not mediated by the usual religious rituals or intermediaries. A mystic has the experience of unity with the One: the One can be God, Mother Earth, the All That Is, or the Universe. It rarely occurs on this planet, but everyone experiences this when they forget about their separate ego and interconnect with everything else.

What is a mystical experience?

According to philosophers and masters, a mystical experience is explained as a special state of consciousness,  flow state, meditative or contemplative state, when one loses the feeling of oneself and feels the union with the unseen and supernatural. William James believed that experiencing such a state once, a person changes their mind forever. The special state of mind can be reached through meditation, trance (Middle-East shamans are known for practicing), or with the help of advanced spiritual technology. During a mystical enlightening, one may catch a glimpse of this other reality, which may challenge all our previous rational beliefs and doubt the view of what is real and what isn’t.

How Do You Feel A Mystical Experience?

How do you feel a mystical experience

If you had a mystical experience, it would definitely affect you. Some feelings you might have include:

  • New feelings and sensitives, new perceptions of common things.
  • There are no boundaries. The mystical experience exposes us to rethinking and shifts all the boundaries.
  • There are no right and no wrong things. Once you have a mystical experience, boundaries are shifted, and the old mindset is completely broken, there is a full shift in consciousness. Perhaps, the things that you thought were right are actually not.
  • The feeling of unity and connection is felt in a new way. It’s not just words. The whole universe is One; You are part of the Great One.
  • Reconsidering the concepts of time and the consistency of space.
  • The body is subjected to physical changes and reacts to excitement like goosebumps, etc. You feel the minor changes, mystic signs, and all senses are enlivened.
  • You can feel the energy flow, as in someone’s aura, or energy of places in a more heightened way.
  • You are questioning your life, values, and priorities. Your consciousness is turning mystic and upside down.
  • Never wanting that experience to end.
  • Wanting to share that experience with all of humanity; feelings of altruism.
  • That you are not alone, and never have been
  • That there is a whole greater part of you that you had forgotten about.
